  “Oh no where did I put it”, it was already 8:00  and I couldn’t find my trip notice. Today was the final day to return it. My parents already left for work and I was getting very late since I walked to school. I looked everywhere, I couldn't find it. I had to go because it was late.   Lunch time. I was still thinking of my trip slip. I got my lunch out and to my surprise my trip slip fell out of it. I now remembered I put it there so I didn’t forget. I couldn’t believe it.

  Climate change is causing a lot of problems. People cut trees a lot and it causes less oxygen. We need to stop climate change by stopping polluting the earth. For example, stop gases which means you can stop burning coal and other fossil fuels. Around the world, there are forest fires that kill animals and their habitat.  Let's think “ But does it make any difference to me ”. It makes a big difference even if you do one tiny thing. That tiny thing can turn into a big thing. Let's help our earth by stopping climate crises even if it’s little.

  “Morning everyone,” said Mrs. Kate. The class stood up “ good morning Mrs. Kate”. Class started as soon as we sat,  “ Remember class we’re having the test today ”. The class expression changed, my expression changed too. We all got a piece of paper. The time started, forty minutes on the clock, I thought to myself “So what am I going to write on this page”.    Three more minutes, I was sweating, my hands were shaking. Suddenly, Beep beep I woke up it was just a nightmare. “ Sweetie wake up, you're going to be late for your test” “ Oh no, not again”.

  Carbon is one of the 118 elements that make our planet, it is used to make coral & shellfish then gets turned into limestone. Carbon is in every life form like rocks and soil, hummus has 70% carbon in it. Carbon can form with other atoms to make something new e.g Co2. Carbon can be found in millions of different forms e.g coal, oil, diamonds, and carbon dioxide  (Co2). What is global warming? Burning fossil fuels and C02 causes global warming, global climate change. Since the industrial revolution, humans have been burning fossil fuels e.g coal, wood, gas, and oil. Co2 and greenhouse gasses cause climate change by trapping heat. It causes air pollution and increases wildfires. What are carbon sinks? Well, it is a system that absorbs more carbon than it releases. There are three main carbon sinks: forests, oceans, and soil. Sinks absorb carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere but then the soil gets the carbon dioxide when the tree dies. The first sink is. Forest sinks: Durin...

  “ Amy hurry we got to go” “ Just a moment mum I’m almost ready” Today was the day of our holiday vacation. I was so excited that I almost packed everything. All my things were ready. I was just having trouble carrying it. “ Dad can you help me” “ Okey sweety I’ll be right there” After all the hard work of lifting and packing, we finally hit the road. The temperature was boiling hot, I was melting like a melted ice-block. I jumped to the back and opened the biggest window that was near me. We didn’t take our car, we rented a van which literally only had three windows. I slowly started to shut my eyes, when it was shut I was deeply asleep. Ding ding ding  “ welcome abroad “ My eyes opened wide, we were driving into the ship. As we were driving in I sat up and waved to the man who was welcoming us on board. We were now inside the ship and were ready to get to our room. I waited as my parents were getting a room for us, as I was waiting quietly I watched the people walk past me...

  It was a rainy day and I was in the lounge watching tv. I was watching carefully at my brother staring at my pet turtle in his bowl. I glared back at my movie in surprise. It was almost finished.  A while later I went to get a drink in the kitchen, when I got back I froze. My eyes were on my turtle’s bowl. It was empty and my turtle was gone. I looked down to see my little brother playing next to my turtle’s bowl. I let out the anger I had in me and I started shouting at my brother. But it wasn’t for long because my mum walked in and stopped me. My mum talked to me about my turtle and how I should have taken care of it more carefully, in my head I was thinking about how scared the turtle would be. The sun was up and I was eating sausages for breakfast. But I had to go to the toilet. I came back from the toilet and on the table where my empty plate was.        Turangawaewae I glanced down feeling the cold breeze flow past me. The view in front of me was magnificent.  I watched the waves wash the sand in . The smell of the sizzling sausages was the best. The hearing of kids playing in the sand felt calming.   I layed down feeling the heat of the sun on me . I knew this was the place. I placed myself on the soft sand for a while then I stood up to see that the sizzling sausages were almost ready. The flavor of the sausages was delicious .  I feast both eyes on the horizon.  Mission bay was where I stood, where I felt welcomed home.  I said my last goodbyes before I left.  So long Mission bay I say watching it become much smaller as we drive away.

  Bella and her friends were having a sleepover. They decided to play hide and seek. Bella was the seeker, she counted to 50 sec. After a 50 sec count Bella went to look for her friends. She looked everywhere but still nobody found. After 10m she found four of them, now she only needed one more. She knew there was only one room she didn’t check yet. So quietly she went down to the basement.  Suddenly, darkness enveloped the room. Bella was scared but then it was bright again. After that, she found the last hider. After, they all went to sleep.

My mum is the most hard-working person in my family. She is always clean and whenever there is a mess she cleans it up. She does all our washing and she keeps our house clean at all times. If we are going somewhere she packs what we need before we go.  The helpful person in my life is my mum. She is always helpful because she helps me if I am stuck on something. She also does my lunch if I forgot to do it. If I am in a rush to go to school she cleans my bed for me. She helps me if I get sick or hurt. She would help get me ready for school and she would remind me if I have forgotten something. My mum also helps me with my homework. If it's hard she would explain it to me so I can understand and so I can finish it.   My kind mother is always playing with me and she always takes me to places so I don’t get bored at home. She always cheers me up when I am sad and she gives money to the poor. If I have a project she always buys the things I need for it. She cooks foo...

This is about a boy named Bradley writing a letter to his councilor that left his school.     Dear  carla, It’s a pleasure to write to you, I am so sorry I didn’t come to your office thank you for the letter. I finally got a gold star beside my name, thank you for handing in my book report. I went to Coleen's birthday party and gave her the present that you said to give from the heart but I should have not written love Bradley because they laughed. But I also laughed too even though it was still embarrassing. But then Karen the girl that was good at the sumasotes stopped it by shouting.  Coleen’s birthday party was fun. At first, I was worried I had to have a ribbon on my present but I didn’t and I also thought we needed to wear ripped pants so I cut holes in my pants, I was so worried I had to get changed six times.   Teddy I woke up in bed to see my brother standing in front of me. “ Happy birthday Jimmy” I looked up, he was holding a brown teddy bear and a balloon that said get well soon. I never saw my brother with a smile on his face. He gave me the teddy and balloon. An hour later My brother left and I laid down watching the teddy like it was alive. Suddenly the teddy moved, it smiled, it started to move towards me. I kicked it off the bed hoping it couldn’t climb. “  Jimmy are you okay” I woke up seeing my brother sitting next to me. I still had the teddy so I quickly looked to see if it was alive but luckily it wasn't. That was the most frightening dream I had ever had.

  Are we there yet? “ Muuum are we there yet?” I said in a bored voice.  “No for the last time, we have 8 more hours to go”  We left at 7:00 and it was only 9:00. It was an uncomfortable trip, there were bags everywhere I couldn’t sit properly. The trip was a nightmare. It was taking forever. I felt like I was 100 already. We were stuck in horrible traffic, cars kept beeping, my ears almost exploded into thousands of pieces. After 2h we were finally out of that horrible traffic until the car started to smell, it was my little brother who had made a big poo poo. The car smelled so bad I vomited on my brand new shoes. But that wasn’t the real problem, we couldn’t stop to change him, we were in another traffic. It was past 2hs and we were finally out of that traffic jam. We were able to change my little brother, I was happy that the smell was gone. I tried to go on my iPad but there was no wifi, this trip was the worst trip I have ever gone on. We only had 3hs left since 3h ...

  Disaster ahead It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining so bright that it was shining on everybody's face. I was at the beach, the wind was howling, I looked towards the horizon, to see a big storm heading towards us with a big wave. I screamed to everyone “ get out of the water we need to evacuate, a big storm is coming right towards us” We all rushed out of the water. The storm was getting closer, I tried to run to my car But before I could. !Woosh!, the wave flooded the town. “ Help” I screamed. I started crashing into things and getting cuts and sores. I was starting to float towards the storm, I tried to stand up and walk to something I could hold on to. But the wave was so hard to push I looked to the side and then! Bang! I was knocked by something big. My head hurt, I felt dizzy. I looked around “ where am I”.   To be continued

  It was near Christmas, Mary, Sunny, Amy, and I was just picking out our secret Santa from a Santa hat. My pick was good since it was somebody easy. “ I know a great gift to give her”. I went to the shops and got a gift. I wrapped it and put it in a safe place. “ Christmas everyone,” I said, welcoming the others. We got straight into the secret Santa Mery got Amy and Amy got Sunny, Sunny got me Leaving me with Mary. They all opened their presents. Well, I was carrying mine. It was heavier than I expected, Inside was clothing. It was the best secret Santa ever.

  Sam was walking on the bridge when he looked down and saw something glowing in the water. He looked closely and it looked like a box. Sam went to the water, he jumped into the water with a splash. Sam dived down into the water, it was hard to see without goggles. A few minutes later he had the box. Sam brought the box home, he just had to see what was inside. So he opened it and !boom!. Sam suddenly disappeared into thin air and never to be seen again. Sam’s parents searched everywhere for him but he was never found.

  Most kids don’t like going to school, they just stay home on the devices. I think that's bad. And I will tell you why. Firstly staying home, playing games is not going to do you any good. You will learn nothing and that is bad because when you grow up you will have to get a job. For example, if you want to be a builder you would need to know geometry meaning areas and perimeter of what you are trying to build, and school will help you learn but you won’t know because you just stay home on a device. Secondly, if you go to school, and study, you could get a good job and be well paid in the future.  Would you want to study and become a scientist, getting paid 70 thousand a year? or work at a bad job getting paid 10-25 thousand a year. But it's only if you go to school to learn not just to play with friends and muck around. Choose would you rather have a good education or a bad education. Don’t waste the opportunity to go to school because you're lucky to be there, some kids ...

I woke up then !Bang! my 🚗 was on 🔥 my 👨 was in the shop I shouted !Help!. My 👨 ran and got me out of the 🚗 then called the 🚒 to come and wash away the 🔥. After tat we got dropped of 🏠 by the police. It was the most scary crash I have ever had.

Something I saw: Talented swimmers surfing on high waves.     Something I remember: Sail boats sailing across the oceans. A person I was with: My dad buying me some ice cream. A wonderful imagined thing that never happened : A huge wave that starts talking. A reason for the journey : To celebrate my sisters birthday there. My own six word sentence : Me in a jet pack flying.
